AI Marketing in 2025

Why Your Data Strategy Can't wait

Welcome, AI Strategists

💫 Current thoughts: As I think about 2025 and AI, I think the core of all things we will be doing, to get the most out of AI (and AI Agents), will be related to data. We all need to get our data house in order. I’ve worked enough orgs to know that messy data is typically an issue. With the introduction of a new way to do things in late 2024 (Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol), it just reinforces this idea. In the next three weeks I’ll review this - what it is, how to prepare/what to do and how companies are already using data readiness to their advantage. No tech jargon (or at least minimal) so that you can relate it more toward your needs.

AI News Roundup for SMB Decision-Makers and Marketing Professionals

Prompt of the Week:

This one is a little more detailed but it’s a handy one for your next campaign. Remember, the more context, the better the outcome. Never accept the first output, always ask it to review and improve. This would work with any LLM chatbot (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.)

I am planning my next marketing campaign and want to leverage predictive analytics to make data-driven decisions. My goal is to optimize [specific campaign goal, e.g., customer acquisition, retention, upselling].

Here are the key details of my campaign:

Target Audience: [Provide demographic and behavioral data if available, e.g., women aged 25–34, interested in eco-friendly products.]

Campaign Channels: [List channels, e.g., email, social media, PPC ads, etc.]

Available Data: [Describe your data sources, e.g., historical sales data, customer engagement metrics, website traffic analytics.]

Key Questions:

What are the most likely customer segments to engage with this campaign?

What type of content or messaging will most likely resonate with each segment?

Which channels are predicted to generate the highest ROI?

Constraints or Considerations: [Mention your budget, time frame, or other limitations.]

Using predictive analytics techniques, such as [specific method if known, e.g., regression models, clustering, or machine learning algorithms], help me:

1 - Identify actionable insights from my data.

2 - Create a predictive model to anticipate campaign outcomes.

3 - Recommend strategies or next steps based on predictions.
