Welcome, AI Strategists

💫 Current thoughts: Every week I catch my agents' mistakes. A date/day time (always) Athena presents a little too confidently, a source Metis summarizes slightly off. I catch them because I did this work myself (or looked at a calendar) long before AI could do it for me. That's not a flex. It's the whole trick.

This week half my reading pile filed the same story. BCG found that teams with a clear AI strategy and limited tools beat teams swimming in licenses with no direction. Brookings went darker: the people getting magic out of AI are the ones who could've caught its mistakes without it, and we've stopped hiring the juniors who'd ever become those people. The tools aren't the moat. The judgment is. And AI adoption is quietly eating the judgment pipeline.

So before you add another AI subscription this week, ask the harder question: who on your team catches your AI's mistakes, and are you developing anyone else who could?
